Variable Attenuators for Broad Market Wireless Applications
Skyworks introduces a series of voltage-controlled variable attenuators (VVAs) which are designed to have excellent third order input intercept point and superb dynamic range. The devices cover operation from 1.45 to 5.0 GHz, and have control voltages ranging from 0 to 5.0 V. The SKY12232-21, SKY12233-11, SKY12235-11 and SKY12236-11 are optimized for use as low distortion, analog attenuators – centered at 1.95, 2.60, 3.15, and 3.8 GHz. These VVAs are ideal for automatic power leveling/gain control circuits in 3G/4G LTE and WCDMA cellular base stations, IF chains, radar, and Satcom systems. They are also designed for broad market wireless systems including military communication transceivers, S-Band radar, and VSAT. Each is provided in a MCM 8-pin 4.9 x 3.2 x 1.0 mm package.
