The recent breakthrough in tuner-control, the iTuner, allows custom programming in many development software packages. LP-Lab is a LabView™-based measurement software that takes advantage of the iTuner’s custom programming. LP-Lab provides a fully functional device characterization core while allowing users to add and modify structures and algorithms to the program on their own. This flexibility enhances the practicality of LP-Lab and offers a great advantage for the different needs and preferences of test engineers.
One example of an application developed using LP-Lab is for RFID device testing. In the case of RFID device testing only one tuner is used both as source and load tuner. The source signal passes from the RFID tester through the tuner to the DUT, and then back through the tuner to the RFID tester. This unique application improves programming time, reduces costs and was made possible only through the programming flexibility of LP-Lab.
