Focus Microwaves’s flagship software opens the door to a complex area of nonlinear and low noise transistor testing. Used in conjunction with Focus’ Load Pull and Noise measurement systems, our software allows for full calibration of tuners, Load Pull and Noise measurements, IV-curves and s-parameter acquisition from all available VNA’s. Data is used to generate ISO contours, 3D or X-Y plots and can be imported and used by all major linear and non-linear simulators (ADS™, MW-Office™, Genesys™, etc.). Focus software is supported under Windows™ NT, 2000 and XP.
Focus has addressed the need for user-friendly reliable device characterization software with WinPower. WinPower allows accurate, continuous tuning to any calibrated or interpolated impedance and includes a wealth of automatic test routines: Peak search, load pull (full or in sections), saturation plots, compression measurements, constant Pout, IMD, PAE, AM/PM, EVM, etc. WinPower guarantees compatibility by coming equipped with hundreds of instrument drivers; new drivers can be easily added using an ASCII template. Software integration is possible with LabView™ Matlab™, Visual Basic™ and VEE™ using Direct Data Exchange™ (DDE).
