Ampsa Matching Wizard
The Ampsa MW (V23B Build 14880) is used to solve user-defined impedance-matching problems. Any of the matching networks synthesized can be analysed and optimized, or tuned, in the MW.
Synthesis of the matching network is based on systematic searches on the transformation Qs of the networks or the transmission phase shift at the passband frequency selected. The fundamental-frequency targets can be Smith chart points or circles, while Smith chart sectors can be targeted at the second and third harmonics.
The designed networks can be exported in a number of formats. These include Microwave Office (TM) basic scripts, Sonnet Software (R) .son files and DXF files. A technology file can also be created for DXF exports to CST Design Studio (TM).
The MW has a ribbon interface with context categories, tabbed views and a quick access toolbar.
