Devens, MA - Response Microwave, Inc. a specialist in providing customer connectivity and component solutions, is pleased to announce the availability of a new push-on SMA male connector that
accommodates universal mating to all threaded SMA female connectors.
Part of the Compel family of connectivity solutions, the new patented connector is specifically designed to facilitate quick connection cycles. The interface is ideal for use as a connector saver in ATE applications and more so, as a means to interconnect modules within a tight sub-system where torque wrenches cannot reach.
The series operates DC-18GHz and offers typical VSWR of 1.05:1 across the band. Dielectric withstanding voltage is 1500Vrms Force to engage/disengage is 30N max and the coupling mechanism retention force of 267 N min showed no evidence of dislodging after 500 matings. Unit showed no evidence of damage after being subjected to Corrosion, Thermal Shock and Moisture Resistance tests in accordance with MIL-STD-202.
Current versions are available in straight configurations for RG402 and RG405 conformable or semi ridged and crimp versions for RG179 and RG316 flexible cable. Housings are brass with gold and nickel plating and fitted with a silicone rubber gasket. Product is available as a discrete part or as a complete cable assembly. Adaptors to SMA female and male are also offered.
